The 4th of July is right around the corner and since Covina does NOT allow fireworks I thought it would be a good idea to put a list together of 4th of July Events and Fireworks Shows around the Covina area. So between BBQs and pool time make sure you check out some of these 4th of July Events and make time to watch the fireworks shows around the San Gabriel Valley. West Covina, CA
The City of West Covina to Host 4th of July Firework Spectacular

Festivities will kick off with the Mayor and the City Council welcoming the community during the opening ceremony scheduled to begin at 5:00pm followed with dancing and music by West Covina’s own, D.J. Phil Perez. The 4th of July itinerary is as follows:
- 4:00pm- Gates Open
- 5:00pm- Opening Ceremony
- 5:30pm- DJ Phil Perez
- 7:00pm-RemiX
- 9:00pm-Firework Finale
Throughout the event attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a rock-climbing wall, picnic games, jumpers, Bubble Mania, free face painting, free kiddie train rides, and free balloon twisting.
A variety of food vendors will be available for meals, refreshments, and snacking. The food vendors include:

General parking is available at the Sportsplex on an extremely limited basis. The use of the free shuttle service is strongly recommended. Shuttle services will be offered between 3:00pm to 8:00pm, every 20 to 30 minutes. Parking locations for shuttle services are as follows:
- Parking lot on the South/East Corner of Amar and Azusa – 1540 E. Amar Road
- Shadow Oak Park – 2121 Shadow Oak Drive
- Cortez Park & Senior Center – 2501 E. Cortez Street
Shuttle services will resume immediately after the conclusion of the firework finale. Return trips may take up to one hour. Accessible parking for persons with disabilities will be available on a first come, first served basis at the Sportsplex. Those wishing to make use of accessible parking must present their DMV issued placard to attendants in order to utilize accessible parking spaces.
